When the opportunity came to buy a new home and sell our old house, my wife and I knew, our first call would be to Gini Anderson, with Keller Williams Reality.
We explained what we were looking for: price range, neighborhood, and house style. Gini immediately began her research and we started looking at potential houses the next day. A few short weeks later, we had found the perfect neighborhood and house for our family to call home. Gini submitted our offer and was able to negotiate $11,000.00 in repairs and upgrades to the new home before we would accept the owner’s final offer. The negotiations went very smooth and we closed the deal on time with no snags.
Then it became time to sell our old house located South Tacoma. Unfortunately, for many people, South Tacoma is very difficult market to sell a house due to many bank owned foreclosures and very competitive pricing in the surrounding neighborhoods. Gini reassured us our house would sell in no time and she was right.
Gini stopped by the house to do a walk through, she suggested a few things we could do to improve our chances of getting highest market price and a fast sell. We listened to her suggestions and installed a fresh vinyl floor in the kitchen, refinished the fir floors, touched up interior paint, painted the front porch, cleaned up the yard, and painted the garage. Sounds like a lot of work but well worth it in the end.
After all the work was done, Gini brought in her associate Debbie Snodgrass, and the two of them professionally staged the house and finalized all the preparations before listing. We listed the house right before Thanksgiving for $189,500.00 and we had an acceptable offer of $185,000.00, only two weeks after the New Year! All said and done, we could not have sold our house that fast, at that price, and at that time of year with any other agent other than Gini Anderson and her team.
